Start the shift on MPOS

Here you learn how to start a shift on MPOS.

Watch how it is done29 sec.
The video has no sound and shows the till in Danish, with each step written on the screen in Danish. The same steps are below in English, and you can pause the video along the way.

You choose how the terminal is used, and who is in charge of it.

Step by step

Tick a step when it is done

Button names are written as they appear on a till set to Danish. The brackets give the name on a till set to English, the first time a button is mentioned. Change the till's language

  1. Tap Start vagt (Start shift).
  2. Choose a mode under Vælg tilstand (Select mode): Kasse (Register), Bordplan (Floor plan) or Levering (Delivery).
  3. Choose your name under Hvem starter vagten? (Who is starting the shift?)
  4. Count the till under Startbeløb i kassen (Starting cash in drawer): tap + next to each coin and note.
  5. Tap Start vagt.
  6. Good to know

    • Kasse is sales over the counter. Bordplan is table service with tables and courses. Levering is a list of parked and delivery orders.
    • Levering can only be chosen when you also have a regular till.
    • No counting: If MPOS is not a standalone till, it says Ingen tildelt kasseskuffe (No assigned cash drawer), and you do not count.

Finishing up

The shift has started, and MPOS opens in the mode you chose.
